look through everything, grab the stuff i like (never looking at the tag, size is not important, neither is brand), i try it on and figure out if i like it (good fit, good fabric)
now my style is mostly middle aged-old man clothes so its not too hard for me to find stuff, trousers are the only problem i have, i never find any
