OH yeah this situation I'm aware of, having an Uyghur friend that exposed me to that shit... fucking disgusting and vile, the fucking war crimes and genocide that they're committing against em..man
yeah it's quite repulsive, the files that were leaked show that they literally do not give a fuck they'll just find some weird ass "reason" to send them to what is essentially a concentration camp, such as this man did not shave for 3 months, or this man does not smoke therefore he is a religious extremist, or even worse, this girl is the child of a man who did not shave so straight to jail for 10 years

My take from all of this has been that they both were toxic AF and dragged the worst out of each other. I don't think any of them were innocent in this and the best case scenario had been if this case hadn't gotten any publicity at all.

Overall this is a big loss for everyone, because people will lose the nuance for political purposes.

Yeah I agree, but I feel like it had to go public just because he lost film roles and a lot of potential income, and she lost nothing, so publically proving her "wrong" is good so that she can potentially lose more roles and he can potentially gain some back

idk the exact years but the files weren't fresh from the oven, it was mostly "older" files that were leaked, so the conditions are likely far worse now
