guys not to question you all but do you think age actually made you more intelligent or is it your brain solidifying so it's gotten more comfortable with idk.. your mindset and decision making in general.. like now it's confident enough to tell you "yeah i think i'm being reasonable " instead of maybe u actually becoming smarter HELP
not more intelligent in that way, but i guess with age you stop worrying as much about other people perceiving you as "smart"

ummm i mean life experience in general usually comes with more knowledge but i think more importantly it makes you more aware of who you are and ur limitations/strengths/weaknesses

yeah i think when u are older u just have more experience and a betetr perspective on most things, but not like really getting "smarter"
yeah its not necesarily about getting smarter more like being more reasonable? which can make u more smart if u want
now another question

does accumulated experience mean that you are able to give advice to younger people?

i feel like it's natural to tell yourself "oh this younger person who's going through something i went through when i was younger could use some advice from me who's out of the woods now",  but maybe that lack of perspective in them (or even yourself, since you're already out of that phase in your life) makes it so that it's tricky to truly communicate the knowledge you have received from experience

i worded that like shit but i trust that u guys will understand

i feel like i've gotten more honest with age

like when i was a teen i used to be all like  No i'm a sigma male everyone is stupid and weak and the only way in life is to be callous and selfish.   but now i'm like well that's not quite it i think there's more to it.

like this

thats some nice character development from teenage u to now
yes i'm so glad i'm no longer afraid to embrace my sensitivity and i'm no longer overcompensating so much

well that's a lie i still catch myself overcompensating a lot by being mean BYEYEYE but i'm trying to get better at it smh
i think people probably never stop to change in some ways like in 10 years ill look back on myself again and be like "well my brain wasnt done cooking" but its probably just that u always collect more expriences in life and they will shape how you interact with the world and see things.

also being a cringy teen is normal ... we all are wei´rdos as teens and the onyl shamefull thign would be if we didnt change from that lol

yeah age defo helps too i think,,, like in general being at the later end of my twenties im realizing how much more cooked through my brain is

I write as a hobby but i dont rly work on honing my skills so i dont consider myself good at it hshs i did take a uni creative writing class too tho
i am just 22 and i feel like my brain is definitely more cooked now than like 5 years ago.. i sometimes feel so ashamed abt how stupid i was as a teenager soijehjdkorub...

ahhh i see  did the writing class help!
we were all stoopid as teens! embrace it!

i dont remember anything from the class tbh, except from one critique on my writing in a seminar n i still feel humiliated for sharing my writing with anyone yaaaas... i fink just reading + writing helps tha most with writing n mayb studying plot structure if u wanna do more crunchy learning about it
u are right i should be kinder to my younger self .

aww noooo  but i see then mmm i suppose it's like how i learned how to draw, watching speedpaints all the time smh

!!! very valid very valid

i mean even if you gain that knowledge and even confidence, i suppose you never quite feel like you know enough now, there's always more to go through and to learn from.......

i think a lot of things like these are always, yes no but if situations. It rly depends on if the person ur giving advice to is receptabnle to it or not so yeah in general i find that its more tricky to communicate it than it isnt

i think a lot of things u just gotta exprience urself to actually learn them and just being told something doesnt have the same effect as actually experiencing it urself, reflecting on it and internalizing it

yeah i think some things just can't be passed on through words, you have to experience it for yourself to truly see it and learn from it mmmmm. well most things even

honestley my mom will still tell me a lot of like "oh when you get older" type scenarios which i always scoff at but in that case i also know she has a very different worldview and life experiences than me so

yes some things you probably have to go through yourself to realize so its better to just act as support than advice giver
