i have worked at a daycare with 1-3 year olds and what i learned is that you dont necessarily have to treat them like babies you can talk to them normally but a very expressive face is what makes them comfortable around you. They read people through expressions and actions rather than voice i think

ikrr i was so emotional when i left!! the parents made a book with pictures and drawings of their kids i really miss them they were adorable but thats when i realized that i would never be able to take care of a kid lmaoo

it's possible that they'd have issues too

i think what really makes a parent is being able to work with those issues in whatever way necessary, sadly nobody's perfectly mentally healthy from birth
