damn, there haven't been any paternoster related incidents in ages because they are rather safe to use and limited in their use overall o.O
gods, I remember (I think the WDR building doesn't have theirs anymore, ot at least it's not featured on wikipedia in the list), but they had real issues with their lift, because they had those library chariots that they had to take the lift with and that obviously doesn't work, so it had to get stopped a lot in between just to get loaded during the time another lift was out of function??? it's over a decade ago since I was on that tour where they told us this

I can only speculate that he had some kind of medical emergency and dropped into the wheel/cog

oh yes, I watched some videos on those lifts and they stated that you can't go in there with a rollator or a stroller or a bike

very likely, like the most common issue in paternoster related incicents usually is a sprained ankle from stepping out a few seconds too late and then hitting the ground from slightly higher than you expected (when going up, going down is also hitting the ground harder or having to step up, which is just tiring)

hmm well motion sickness is when your brain doesnt know if you are moving or not..... maybe you should go see a doctor about it i have never heard of people getting motion sickness from sitting in water

I asked a doctor about this once and he looked at me like I was crazy and told me to not use too hot water. but like ... it was lukewarm, basically too cold to actually have a long bath in. and it only happens when I move and the water sloshes, me being completely still and the water not moving, I am fine

but also, this is in the same vein of me trying to get a cardiologist appointment because I'm "too young" to have a heart conditions, considering I had the issue and have been trying to find someone who takes me serious about it since I was 14, it "can't be bad or I'd be dead already" (like thank, that's what you want to hear) and also, why do I even bother, it's well-knowm women always have cold hands and feet, I'm probably only imagining my extremities turning ashen gray or purple, because that would be a serious issue and I obviously can't have that one. sooooooooo, not really something I can get valid medical advice for whenever it comes to my circulation
