I mean my grandfather is from outside Oulu and he certainly do not have Swedish as his native tongue because whenever he tries to talk to me in something that is allegedly Norwegian I'm like

I can't, for the love of GOD, learn Swedish. English is like a native language for me but Swedish is merely impossible.

Also there is the aspect of what will benefit the Nordics the most and the Finns (and Sami) are the only ones who strictly speaking is native to a language no one else is even remotely able to understand

I KNOW my ex could speak swedish too and I was like ???? do y'all norwegians and swedes and the dutch just..... speak with each other and leave finns out
