Well I mean.. Estonian and Finnish are still pretty similar but would be more like.. Portuguese and Romanian compared? Norwegian and Icelandic?? Pretty distant but still close enough that you can understand something.
Northern Sami is also kinda similar to Finnish, while .. Luleå?? sami and Southern Sami is just.. incredibly far from Finnish
