Well I mean.. Estonian and Finnish are still pretty similar but would be more like.. Portuguese and Romanian compared? Norwegian and Icelandic?? Pretty distant but still close enough that you can understand something. 
Northern Sami is also kinda similar to Finnish, while .. Luleå?? sami and Southern Sami is just.. incredibly far from Finnish 
lm not that knowing of Estonian but l think the main difference is the grammar which sets the two languages apart. Which also makes it sound Estonians are drunk Finns.

In the Scandinavian countries it's mandatory to have some classes about the other Scandinavian languages. Like we did read chapters from Danish and Swedish literature that they were like ah yes peak. So we read some H.C. Andersen in Danish and an excerpt from a book written in.. one of those multi-cultural Swedish varieties and so on.

It is good but the thing is that linguistically Finnish has nothing to do with Norwegian or Danish, only Swedish. For the rest of us Finland and anything Finnish is incredibly irrelevant which has bugged me my entire life and when someone had the audacity in my class to refer to a finlandssvenska author/poet as Finnish-Swedish I went fucking off on them I'm like I'm sorry that's simply not the same

yeah and Estonian has some apocope while Finnish don't plus Estonian has voiced stops, which Finnish natively do not.

Why would I? I've spent my entire life stressing to people that I'm not ethnically Norwegian, constantly bringing up my Finnish heritage at literally any chance and be like oh  yes : )

My boyfriend has been told by a bunch of people that he's ugly but he's so attractive! Yes he sometimes has a shite haircut but (saying this as secretly a bit of a vapid/judgemental bitch) he's not ugly at all!

However, overall, I guess my unpopular opinion is that: everyone CAN look pretty - not in a stereotypical way but in the "that suits you" type of way?
Like, finding clothes that suit you (or having the confidence to wear what truly makes your heart sing) / good haircut / hygiene etc.

I don't think it's bad to care about your appearance, as long as it's for yourself not others
