Why would I? I've spent my entire life stressing to people that I'm not ethnically Norwegian, constantly bringing up my Finnish heritage at literally any chance and be like oh  yes : )
why would anyone want to be a Finnish, let alone be proud of it? Like no offense of course. Maybe I just don't get it since I'm a Finn but please enlighten me
Hello. It's me, Anyone. Trust me, you'll get a lot more proud of being Finnish once you leave the country

Believe me, and trust me in this, Finnish culture is superior to the Norwegian one in so incredibly many aspects
wow. I guess I can speak for the whole Finnish culture when I say thnk u
But they are also the two most similar cultures in the Nordics. Except overall Norwegians like all the bad sports while Finland like the good sports. That's how it is lmao

Yeah that's an aspect too. Which even applies to second-generation too because it's like ah yes. You basically only notice the good things if you aren't there.

Why wouldn't you want to be Finnish? It literally just tells you where you are from. You don't get defined by the idiots of this country when you state this or the other fucked up things that this shithole has to offer but that is with every country.
I agree with that, but stereotyping is a real issue in the world and I don't like to be stereotyped as a emotionally distant and cold person since I am basically the opposite of this whole culture
I am an emotionally distant and cold person lmao

Yes, but l think that is one the person hearing your state this if they define people by stereotypes. On a side note in my mind, the Finnish culture has gone shit with time e.g the glorification of the stereotypes, the cuisine has gone down drastically what it used to be, the weird "cultural norm" of hating Swedes, Estonians, and Russians, etc..

I hate everyone who shames on Estonians. I have no idea why but it's almost borderline like I would die to protect Estonia and I have literally no ties or anything to Estonia. Only been there for a total of 18 hours in my life

Tbh things work better in Finland than in most countries. I still can't fucking believe that I have to physically go somewhere to fill some papers and also fill a shit ton of other papers just to change my address in this same town. I changed my address in the Finnish system in like 5 minutes or so while living in another country excuse me what
