I'm a lesbian, what the hell are you talking about? I KNOW what being a lesbian or homosexuality means. I'm a fucking homosexual myself!

sorry that was harsh but like. you really are not at all educated on the history of the community you are claiming to represent and speak for. learn where queerness comes from and how it is culturally and historically specific. learn that the dictionary definitions of words are written by those in power and that words and terms are used in different contexts by different people ! concepts of sexuality and gender are culturally contingent and being prescriptive by insisting on your own definition or concept is just like. rude

i would never claim to speak for you, or to say you are anything other than a lesbian, as you say. i believe you know a lot abt queerness and homosexuality because of ur lived experience. however i do not see u extending this same understanding to others. your lived experience as a lesbian does not allow u to dictate or invalidate the lived experiences and personal identities of other gay people
Dude I agree with you for the most part but I cannot take you seriously when you use a slur as a collective term for lgbt people. Some people feel comfortable identifying that way and that's fine but you shouldn't force it on people that may not feel comfortable with it.

A gay man used to mean a happy man, what's your point? Language changes, it evolves.
Dude, we're talking about sexuality. The term is now used only for men exclusively attracted to men. If you want to call it homosexual man, then let's call them homosexual men. My point is that you can not just redefine the term as you'd like just because you don't feel comfortable for being bisexual
I don't feel uncomfortable being bi, I just don't find the label accurate, it's not your prerogative to police the way I identify myself.
If you're attracted to both sexes, you're bisexual. It doesn't matter if you like one sex more than the other one, or if you only want to date one sex. I'm not criticizing that, because that's on you and I respect that, I don't care.
You can not identify yourself into a label that does not describe you. If you only felt attraction for men, you'd be gay

You say you don't want to do the thing and then you do the thing. I know myself, I know my sexuality and I know that the label gay is most accurate for me to use in most if not all scenarios in which my sexuality is in question. I may be sexually attracted to some women or sometimes have romantic interest in a woman, but for many reasons I am not and probably won't ever be interested in doing anything with a woman.

there are many labels that aren't necessary like demisexual or demiromantic because its like sexual attraction to someone u have a bond with, no ? like.. isn't that just falling in love is

Gay (referring, again, to men) means being attracted exclusively to other men. If you can feel attraction for the other sex, you're still bisexual. You can't identify in or out of your own sexuality. I totally respect that you do not want to have anything to do with a woman, it's your life. But if you're not exclusively attracted to other men, you can not just take the label
