The first thing a facility would do is drug test her.
That is why I'm hoping she gets into this place. Before social workers started filing a case she went to 2 regular hospitals and none of them drug tested.

I drove 4 hours to help deal with it when we were going thru it and we spent about a week trying to get her to go voluntarily before it just got so out of hand we had to go to the court.

What's really upsetting is when you do that, they send the cops, not mental health professionals. It was traumatizing tbh but it had to be done.

idk what its like there but in NC I had to go to the magistrate, I called and then I drove over and waited and he asked me a series of questions and within ten minutes the police were on the way to the house.

I was doing disability and all this at the same time. Its super time consuming but in her state she couldn't do it herself.

my mom also has stage 4 cancer so that was like a whole other level to it. We couldn't have her in a dedicated facility, we had to have her in a facility within the hospital which honestly wasn't as good, they were spread very thin and she was terrified. 
she called us constantly trying to manipulate us into picking her up, and it was so hard, but thankfully because we had the court order, WE COULDN'T go get her, which I think WE needed.

Hopefully they can get a sense of whats going on with the hold - I'm glad they got her there.

I got a lot of really bizarre and manipulative calls from my mom while she was in, don't let them get to you, she likely really believes all this in her current state.
