and ive known a lot of people who think in their teens they are trans but then decide they aren't, or they just want to identify as they/them but don't want to change their body.

that's not what i am saying, there is definitely situations where someone is with a person that was cis when they both fell in love and then the person came out + (mby) transitioned, but bc the person loves the person unconditioned they still stay with they, but that doesn't mean they would still date their same gender afterwards if they were to break up.
