i think it's just butter and sugar, so u melt the sugar and make the potatoes caramelized. it's definitely not for everyone, but it's a not christmas food if there isnt browned potatoes on the table christmas night!!!!

but it's a discussion about whether or not u make them with 'normal' potatoes or potatoes in jars that is already cooked, that depends on the family
