Is it straight or are they bended?
Mine are straight. They look like regular needles but bigger.
That being said, you can crochet things together, I just haven't done it because the projects I've made so far didn't suit that kind of binding.
I crochet things together ones, i just had situation where i had to sow them together. The problem i had with normal needles was that it are we surprised goes through the yarn and not the holes themselves. So i will have to buy some new ones for when i go about crocheting again

I think you can use bobby pins but it's probably not that good though, it might make the holes bigger if the tips are like this

She should totally try it out, it can seem overwhelming, but as soon as you learn the basics and how to read the recipes (how you say it?) it's more straight forward

At least from my experience!

Yes, definitely. Crochet is also simpler than knitting so yeah

For sure! I feel like crochet is very forgiving.

No, just some cheap-ish 2mm-6mm ones

No I just order everything online lol, shopping "irl" stresses me out
Found a local craft store that ships fast, so I ordered hooks and more yarn

I'm scared to order yarn I haven't bought before online. I've ordered stuff I already knew was nice once but I've never tried ordering new to me yarn, I'm scared it'll be scratchy (which is silly because I usually only care what a yarn looks like anyway lol) or that the colour won't be like it is online or that it will be bigger/smaller than I thought, you know?
