i think what really makes a parent is being able to work with those issues in whatever way necessary, sadly nobody's perfectly mentally healthy from birth

hmmmm yeah, now im wondering if me not fully understanding what my hypothetical kid is going thru would be better than knowing what they are probably going thru. im thinking the former since if my bio kid starts behaving like me when i was a kid or smth like that i think i would probably freak out and maybe push too hard to know how i could help.

adopted children often have so much trauma tho so like. u still end of with a child that has issues that need to be addressed by a professional
