cyprus is very militarized bc they have to be constantly ready for another turkish invasion and militarization is very masculine in natureÂ
there has not been any real feminist movement yet in cyprus bc they were too occupied with the conflict when the rest of europe was busy with it, but there are womens movements that are tryign to gain political power and change things by embracing feminine traits, but they dont identify themselves as feminists bc they see it as like this radical thing that will disrupt society
thats kinda , the short version of what i have so far
and this militarization is like acceptable bc the leaders made sure cyprus is very nationalist which makes sense bc they see turkey as a threat to their existence
