i'm sorry [spoilers for helene] i just really like extremely evil characters and the whole deception thing was wild, and then when he got exposed by mei nianqing at the capital?? absolutely insane like wtff that scene was the most intense scene ive read in fiction.. ohhh and all of the flashbacks to his past him just slowly going insane knowing he was like xie lian at some point. and the fact that in the end he actually wasn't like xie lian because xie lian is #superior, and he gives up (after smashing xie lian's face against a rock wall a dozen times). oh bojana he's so insane it's really delicious.. but then i think about that scene where the civilians were stabbing xie lian and then the aphrodisiac scene and i genuinely feel disgust BYE... so yeah i was really fascinated by him years ago but i'm honestly disgusted by him now even if the insanity is delicious so i do need to re-read and find a new fave, although i think it will be xie lian again LOL [ends spoilers]
