like maybe it was never her intention to even give an empowering message, but giving the fact that we're currently under the situation we live in (people being awfully misogynistic and trying to bring back the 50s) i think it's distasteful and out of place (this is all my perspective, im not saying im necessarily right or anything)

hmmm yeah definitely i feel like the personas they display aren't necessarily "real" (not to say that they can't be authentic with their fans, but the gap between their personal life and their professional life is MUCH wider than in the western, but also their professional life entails fabricating a lot of personal details.. u get it..), and most idols are just produced by their own companies so... i lost my point sorry

but there's still horrible awful rich idols anyway even if everything is more fabricated and artificial and they don't earn the insane paycheck westerners do !
