Speaking of music, isn't it interesting what type of "music" is being promoted these days? Smoking weed, doings drugs, shooting people, being "gangster" sex, degeneracy , getting filthy rich

I'm sure most kids these days can name more Cardi B songs than they can name classic piano composers. That is the sad reality of society.
wym these days... "sex & drugs & rock & roll" literally got popularised in the late 70's,, people r just as bad as they've always been
You can't compare old rock stars to Cardi B and Nicki Minaj
Ah yes... Everybody's got something to hide except for me and my monkey... You really can't compare it to modern music, can you?

All of this because I said I wasn't a fan of rap.
No, it's because you said it was filthy, degenerate, said it wasn't music, said the people who write and preform it aren't talented, that it lacked substance, all your words, not mine.
You're showing how little you know about the genre and how little you care to educate yourself about it's origins and diversity and all of this is what is racist.

pls go get some fresh air, think before u speak <3
Have you ever heard the expression "separate the art from the artist?"
I'm not talking about specific rappers. I'm talking about rap in general.

I never called it filthy. I said many rappers rap about being filthy rich, it's all about money, having nice cars and chains and all that jazz.

I mean, yeah, mainstream rap can be kind of shit but so can most popular music. The shit that's good is what will be remembered 50 years from now, that's just how it goes.

I'm just saying that I don't care what year it's from. I have never once heard a rap song and thought to myself "this is quite respectable and enjoyable. I would like for my future children to listen to this one day"

my point is that most of these rock stars u talk ab have made at least ONE song where they mention abusing women, their money, sex, racist shit, and the list goes on.

songs like these were always being made too, u just have a problem with rap music in general. in reality, these concepts apply to a lot of other genres too, you just don't want to see it i guess.
u can't really use that as an example on why u SPECIFICALLY don't like rap music, bc if u apply this logic then god forbid you ever listen to any music again at all! most artists have sung ab those themes.

rappers are just as talented as any rock/pop/reggae/country/whatever musician, it's just different genres but it's still musical talent regardless.
rap is not only what u say it is, it shines light on other social issues too.
