Therapy is basic in order to get hormones, yes. I perhaps explained myself wrong, this kids' deaths are related to the hormones they take.

Taking hormones may cause different effects (https://www.mayoclinic.org/tests-procedures/mtf-hormone-therapy/about/pac-20385096 ; linking this to show some of the side effects of hormone treatment, but I believe this goes for both transgender women and transgender men)

Yes, transitioning and support can make the stadistics change a lot

Yes, I know soemone on vp who detransitioned cus at the time they felt that transitioning was the right thing to become happy, but they figured out it didn't help cus their problems was from other things than gender dysphoria
