i get a lot of parenting style shorts on youtube and for some reason i do like watching them
and whenver i talk to my godaunt (who is 76) i realize damn, the time where we hit children into obedience at school and at home is really not that long ago
yup its one generation apart really i also hate ppl who still try to justify hitting their kids bcs they wont "shut up" otherwise or learn respect. Fear is the worst emotion you can teach your child. No child should fear their parents. Gentle parenting gets hated on sm but people dont even know what gentle parenting is. Working with kids just made me realize that you have to have the patience of a monk to handle them and that means sitting down with the child for 15 min and asking them to throw a paper away that they used until its done. Thats why having kids is not for everyone and if you think you cant handle your emotions pls dont ever have kids until that gets resolved
