i swear to god this is the kind of shit that i'm thinking about right now how to like approach with him now that hes stable in his career. but im not yet so it complicates the situation. i cant marry him right now because i need to be able to stay on medicaid and until im working full time its better if we file our taxes independently as singles- but what im scared of is him getting sick and and they wont let me into the hospital to see him die cause im not wife and illinois doesnt have common law marriages if we lived somwhere else i think we could be considered common law. my mom said we shoulld set each other up with power of attorney for now. i swear to god tho this man thinks like hes still in his 20s but hes as old as his dad was when the guy died of a heart attack.

goddamn this is the kinda shit that stresses me out these days. rowan, its kinda nice to stress about the future the way you are now compared to worrying about life insurance lmao.

where I used to live is 1 year.

So Mike and I are technically common-law.
