But isn't dysphoria all about the way you feel about your body and your genitals are (feeling wrong about them)? So if, for example, a transgender women wanted to be seen as women physically, wouldn't make more sense for them to try to change their physical appereance? Asking this because it's kinda obvious to see who's trans and who isn't, depending on how they transition, when and if they use more cosmetic surgeries or so, and if you see a transgender woman who does not really pass well, it's easy to see them as male. And I think that would worsen dysphoria
in a way, true, but trans people should (and I'm saying should because sadly there's also trans ppl who only get surgery to experience less transphobia from other people and to be more passable, which in an ideal world shouldn't be the reason) want to transition for THEM and not for anyone else. boobs & a coochie doesn't necessarily mean woman, flat chest & peepee doesn't necessarily mean man. Some trans people want those surgeries because it makes them feel more comfortable. But not everyone clings to the ''these parts make you male, these parts make you female'', so that's why some people don't want it or only want some surgeries instead of ''all''. Gender is about how you feel on the inside, not how you look on the outside and parts don't define gender. So if for example a trans man doesn't feel dysphoric over his chest not being flat cause he doesn't see boobs = female, then that's totally fine. Cis people should also try to work on not always assuming everyones gender cause this would solve so much!! Trans ppl shouldn't only want surgery because of how cis people view them, you can 'compare' this a lil to for example women shaving their legs only to be seen as 'attractive' by men!
i feel like saying boobs on a man is comparable to body hair on a woman is a stretch
