Thats true, I feel like I would get the same amount of triggered by seeing "tw self harm" than seeing soemone talk abt self harm, like, its already in my mind then lol

They're mostly just useful to me on site where you can just block any post using that tag because then you don't have to see it at all

that being said I also feel like the purpose of tws to some extent is to just have you be prepared for what ur about to read/watch etc. Like, the point is to give someone the option to click it if they want to and not click it if they dont. idk it's why I like the word content warning better

I've also genuinely avoided episodes of podcasts and whatnot because of trigger warnings even if i was curious about the episode so like yeah i feel like i do use them in the way they're intended most of the time. Sometimes i'm curious too but i think it just stems from the need to want too look at something you aren't allowed to look at xD
