i've never seen either of those, i don't usually watch anything horror so i can't really tell my opinion on how they'd adapt into tattoos but i really enjoyed how you described the other ideas you had so you could probably make them work too!!

i'm not that into realism in tattoos, especially in black/grey. i mean i can appreciate them on other people but don't see myself getting one. i don't have any specific style i go for either, i'm mostly looking for artist with interesting pieces and/or super clean lines

i'm still clueless on the band in question but i gotta relate to this, most of my tattoos are based on song lyrics and they are  great reminders of the comfort i get from the music. so in a way i can always look at my favourite songs even when i can't listen to them.
