honestly i think its worth trying? might take some times for ur hair to adjust, but if u wash it often, it gets greasy. but once u force it to not wash more than every 5-7 days, it will adjust, and it wont get too greasy. means u might have to go 1-2 weeks with fairly greasy hair tho. but no better time than corona-time to do those things!
I can do it over this break or christmas break only. But i usually didn't wash my hair this much. It have gotten worse and worse and it sucks.
