mri done! it was easier than i thought in some ways and but not in others? the claustrophobia wasn't too bad, going in the tube was a little scary but keeping my eyes closed helped. once i was in there for a while i got used to it. i was in the machine from my head to around my stomach, so my hands were outside the tube
i did get earplugs and headphones to listen to the radio. the machine was pretty loud but not uncomfortable or anything, i could also feel it like vibrating a bit which i didn't expect lol. i did get the cage thing over my head and foam padding inside that so it was easy to keep my head still. they used a contrast agent for me, so the nurse put a cannula in my arm and injected the stuff towards the end of the scan. it didn't feel like anything to me
i did have a panic attack or two,, but i have panic disorder so i expected that to happen. my brain just kinda came up with all kinds of catastrophe situations lol which were reeeally unrealistic but that's how it goes... i also have hearing loss so with the earplugs and headphones i was really struggling to hear anything the nurse was saying, and that kinda made me panic more but i'm not sure that would be an issue if you have normal hearing. they also give you a button to hold that you can press if you want out or feel like anything is wrong etc and the nurse was really reassuring and nice so i v much felt like i was in safe hands!
it lasted about 30 minutes but it went by really fast tbh!! i thought it had only been like 15 minutes when they pulled me out already lol
tagging @xBillieEyelashx for the update, i hope urs go well as well 🤞
