Well one of the first things considered propaganda (if you read Hixton) during the Cold War was the Marshallplan as it was both economic and political propaganda
But tbh it's been used since the time of the cavemans as some historians consider the theory of the pictures in the caves being used as warnings or "showing off" your skills and therefore proving that you are the mightier one
Haven't read about Hixton, but that's interesting, especially the theory about cavepaintings, because honestly I can't see why they wouldn't.

U should create a new thread abt propaganda, I'm sure many ppl on here are interested in it!!
Uhh, Kenneth A. Osgood (Total Cold War) is also a good read if you're interested in Cold War propaganda! Well the are a lot of theories about it because we have to admit that humans are thinking animals, therefore they can not be conviences through sheer emotion but also need fx a pictural element or something that makes sense to them
Hahah, I don't think there are enough people who want's to listen to it. I'm just happy that some people are willing to talk about it/wants to learn something about it, since propaganda is really interesting! and just the thought about something being able to change peoples thoughts and actions without any physical interaction is really fascinating! : ))
I'll keep in mind, I think human psychology is quite interesting and propaganda uses that quite a lot :]

Plsss, just make a thread, there's nothing to lose ;-D

Couldn't agree more, tho I'm only looking at it from a purely historical aspect (since I'm studying history and currently writing som new material on everyday propaganda during the Cold War in Denmark)

Might do one if I have the courage and when I'm done with my exams

Ohhh, I assume you enjoy your current project? Is it hard to select the most important parts though since there is so much information out there? cx
I feel like all countries has had some forms of propaganda, can you think of any possible positive sides of propaganda?

Yayyy!

I'm over the moon tbh!! I really love it! Hhaha, I'm mainly using daily magazines which is the "everyday" part in my project and therefore trying to distance it from the political or economic aspect of it : ))
Ofc they do, since propaganda is every action a nation/individual who wishes to make a society/person have a certain oppinion about somthing/do a certain action and with action I ofc mean all non-physical action since if it becomes physical or the nation/person gives what was promised it isn't propaganda any more : )))
Well it really depends on who you are and which ideology or thought you have about the action but mainly "white" propaganda (by white I mean clean as the action can be tracked back to the state) is seen as positive since it comes from a clear source : ))
