Yeah, i think the stigma is a big problem but also (don't call me a conspiracy theorist, just something that sounds logic to me) that our diet and lifestyle destroys our bodies, sitting around all day, millions of girls taking hormones to not become pregnant for the last 50 years, unhealthy food, bad air quality,.....

oh, I am convinced this has to do with it
you can see differencies in the gravity of the issues in different cultures and can trace them back to lifestyle, diet, pollution
the research on that subject is still very much vague and very little though, so it's just a preliminary hypothesis so far, but I do think it definitely has an impact, even if it's just a tiny one
I mean, you talked about PCOS before. it's still very very new to do research about this and people still don't know what causes it, but it is something linked to the metabolism. it's a bit the chicken/egg question. What is first, the PCOS that causes metabolism issues that make the fertility issues worse or does it start with the metabolism being wonky and spiral into infertility then?
(I LOVE this topic, really happy you're talking to me about this and even know stuff yourself, I feel very appreciated right now )
I have to admit i'm not that educated on the topic, i have watched some arte documentaries that touched on the topic and did a few quick google searches because i had symptoms that would fit the diagnosis and was getting an ultrasound and hormone blood tests (they were negative so idk what is causing my issues), so i'm happy you are willing to educate people in this topic!

I got a false diagnosis on that one too. turns out I just had what they call ovarian mucinous cystadenoma (Muzinöses Zystadenom) which is already "bad" enough, because they grow super fast and at some point you can't really remove them that well from the ovary which resulst in getting the ovaries removed as well - and yes, you have to remove them once they get a certain size and they can't be stimulated with hormones, so it basically all just sucks.
But a friend of mine was diagnosed with PCOS and she's been trying for years to get pregnant and I interviewed her for a class of mine about the issues it was having on her mentally and on her marriage and it all just is so ... ugh, I can't even say in words how much it makes me angry how people go around expecting you to be basically a breeding factory once you're a married woman and how much of a pressure that is on people who don't give much of a shit, but how fucking terrible it even is on people who suffer already from their own feelings of failure because they can't get pregnant.
and they suffer in silent, which I get, the world is just all assholes to them and puts the pressure on them and no one wants to go out and be like "look how it ruins me to not be able to have children on my own, thanks for telling me that I've already been married for two years and should be pregnant by now"
people really need to start talking about these things more in an educational way and showing that it's not just some people who can't give their parents grandkis, but that there's so much more to it

Agree, but I think the society around beauty is weird all over today. Why should we comment on someone's looks when it doesn't matter most of the time?
