Actually, studies show that paracetamol wont work in period pains, so you should def switch to ibuprofen.

you can read one study here:
ejhp.bmj.com/content/23/4/187
"No review evidence that paracetamol works for dysmenorrhoea(this is period pains), neck pain, rheumatoid arthritis or cancer pain."
it says on the packig that you can use it for periods. but if sience says so im switching
Yea, and even doctors tend to say "take either ibuprofen or paracetamol" but still the science community doesnt really back the claim that paracet works. it all fits into the general trend of society knowing/focusing too little on womens (reproductive) health

also, theres no reason to have that much strain on your liver if it doesnt do anything good, so yea either ibuprofen or naproxen

ibuprofen or naproxen!!! Paracetamol does little to nothing with period pains. And my tip is to take them when the pain hasn't truly kicked in. And only to take them every 4 hours or so so your body doesn't become accustomed to them

il get some ibuprofen tomorrow and see if it works. paracetamol only lasts me an hour or two before the pain gets really bad again, which sucks

the reason why ibuprofen works for period pain is because it works to reduce muscle pain! paracetamol is for very mild muscle pains only and otherwise used for headaches and to reduce fevers, so it only works for period pain if it's not very serious (at which point it probably isnt even necessary to take painkillers for it)

that's at least what i remember my doctor telling me
