While hardcovers look nice they are generally way more expensive and sooo fragile, especially if the book has 300+ pages

im not super picky, i tend to go with paperbacks because they're cheaper and easier to read on the go though

Ahh, the big dilemma!
I like hardcovers when there are books I am really hyped for and know I will like, but not if the book is more than 600-700 pages. Then it becomes weightlifting over time. However, thick, small pockets aren't ideal either for length so I would prefer longer books to be "heftet." I like pockets for quick reads. Those I pick up for enjoyment or curiosity solely, or if it has the superior cover.

Since I buy most of my books in English and relatively shortly after release, the price of hardcover online is basically the same as buying it as a pocket in-store, so...
Is pocket those called "indbundet"?
No, it's pocket but a different type i dunno how to explain. They are usually larger and a bit heavier than a pocket but it does not have a hardcover. And it lays flat very nicely
