My own astrology topic

This will be my own topic for astrology purposes. Since you aren't allowed to spam in a topic, I am going to primarily update the first post from time to time, but discussions are allowed of course. The things I will update with will be techniques that I learned, good sources, new insights and overall things that makes me to tick about this subject.

You are allowed to ask if you want some insights into your own charts, however I want to make clear that I am a beginner, ot at best an amateur, so I can't really understand charts and I make a lot of mistakes, so take my interpretation with a grain of salt. Do it mostly for enternainment purposes. I strongly recommend that if you want an interpretation, you can DM me your birth details instead of writing them down here, because it is always a bit risky with sharing personal information in public. If you do that, I will give your interpretation in DM, but if you share them here, I will of course give you my interpretation here instead.

#Insight
I have heard from time to time by professional astrologers that when you read a chart, it is not that possible to read from one position, one planet in one sign/house and believe that that will give you the answer. Astrology is an art, just as paiting a picture is, and what you need is the whole picture because the human psyche is very complex and often people have certain dimensions that can often contradict each other or make that person be a bit odd in its appearance. For example, I got an interpretation from an astrologer that I have two sides of my introversion/extroversion personality, where I actually is very shy and inwardlooking sometimes, and at other times can be charming, talkative and outgoing. She said that this could somewhat be said about many people, but is actually noticeable especally about me. And that really struck me, because this is very typical in my experience from day to day life. It is like I have this "complex" about myself, of how I am in front of people. I don't know how she got to that conclusion, but what I can say is that she must have been taking many factors in count when she saw this.
You can read about it here to gain insight form a professional astrologers perspective (there are many valuable teachings from the overall website.

So that's why you should not learn from different astrology softwares that make computerised interpretations for you. They simply doesnt work that well, because the teachings of astrology is not only techniqual but also very intuitive - which a computer cannot take.

#New technique I've learned
For about a week ago I learned about essential dignity in a chart. Let's say you have a planet in debilitation. Does that mean that you are doomed in that area? Certainly not. Because even with that placement, other factors could help you. The most helpful ones (that I know of) is to look at the planet that rules that sign and the planet that exalts in that sign (if there is one) and see where they are placed. If some of them or both of them happen to be placed in the first planets (the one that is debilitated) rulership sign, or its exaltation sign, then they actually HELP the planet that is debilitated. That means that the debilitation becomes pretty much cancelled and perhaps even benefic instead. There isn't only rulership and exaltation, but also triplicity, term and face too (but they aren't as strong as the other two). So in quite many ways a panet can be helped (or maybe even damaged if the other planets are poorly placed instead).
You can look at this software to be able to see rulership, exaltation, triplicity and so on for different planets in you horoscope (but you need your coordinates so you have to look it up online)

#Friends and enemies
I have recently learned about friends and enemies that matters a lot especially in planetary aspects, but also the signs they occupy and perhaps even the houses too (Houses are usually ruled by planets and signs aswell, but I don't see the same strong connection as with the planets and the signs). What determines if planets are friends, neutrals or emenies I think is especially the qualities that they have, if they share some common ground, are similar or simply have a good compatibility. But that can be quite hard to evaluate, since I think you need a deep understanding of the qualities of the planets aswell (so I think it is good to read some authors on this that give a deeper and more abstract explanation, like Dane Rudhyar for example), so despite this maybe there exist som technical ways to examine this? First, I want to make sure that different authors often doenst fully agree what planets are friends and enemies to some extent, so it is a pretty fluid concept in general, but that doesnt mean that it doesn't count. Often you get some kind of feeling to what planets in what signs and so on go well together, and usually other factors determines as well. Some can be more obvious than others, for example Sun and Moon usually are a very good couple, or Jupiter and Saturn are very "good" enemies. It could also be this way that one planet is a good friend to the other, but the other planet doesnt like the first planet back. I have noticed that if a planet is exalted in the other planets rulership sign, then this planet is a friend with the other planet (For example Mars in Capricon which is ruled by Saturn - Mars likes Saturn). And again, at the same time the other planet can actually be debilitated in the first planets rulership and therefore see this planet as an enemy (Saturn in Aries, which is ruled by Mars - Saturn doesnt really like Mars). So it can interestingly go in both ways.

When two planets are friends, it doesnt matter that much that they have difficult aspects with each other, since their friendship can go well together still (Take Sun and Moon opposition for example. They are friends and when Moon is opposite the Sun, that is considered a good thing because that means the person is born on a "full moon", so from what I've heard this makes a strong personality). At the same time, when two planets are enemies with each other, even an easy aspect could be difficult to handle.

As well, when twoo planets are friends or enemies, even if the planets doesnt become exalted och debilitated in each others signs, they can still be good or bad in each other signs to a lesser degree, since they are friends or enemies. So take Moon and Venus, which are pretty good friends. Moon actually likes to be in Libra (ruled by Venus) even if the Moon is not exalted there. And when it comes to Taurus (also ruled by Venus), see there, it is suddenly exalted! This is at least from what I noticed by own observation.

#Philosophical approach
In the astrological community, they often say that the best way to learn astrology is not by sit and learn different rules and techniques and styles etc. The best way is to go out in the night and just watch the sky. Observe for hours, days, weeks, months. It is a form of meditation. Because true astrology is not something detail-oriented, it is purely holitistic. Holistic means "whole" which is easily understood as the "the big picture". I often think that there are two ways to be smart. One way is to dive into the problem, like an arrow shooting for the board, and go deep into the details that you approach. This will give a very narrow look. The other way is to step back, becoming totally empty inside, and then what will happen is all the information, like a huge cloud, will come to you. It will somehow start to make sense. If you observe enough, catiously without too much focus, you will start to see how everything is connected.

I do not say that the "detail oriented" way is bad either. They serve different functions. In fact, the most advanced way that I can think of, is the combination of the two in a smooth manner, so that they do not interfere with each other, but instead, that you shift from one to the other, zooming in and zooming out when it is needed, so you basically get the best of both worlds.

#Thoughts on the relationship between Mars and Saturn and Mercury and Saturn
I still find it hard to evaluate the friends and enemies between the planets in astrology, but I think I have to a degree began to understand the psychological mechanism that work between some of them. I am going to compare Saturn with Mars and Saturn with Mercury.

Saturn and Mars
Mars is said to be exalted in Saturns’ most homely sign, Capricorn. The reason to this for me it seems that Capricorn gives a very constructive approach to Mars’ strengths. Mars is the planet of action and speed, while Saturn is the planet of boundaries. Mars’ energies is like pushing on the gaspedal inside a car while Saturn slower the car with the brake. So, with all the power that the planet Mars has, it cannot only push forward in endless speed because it also needs direction. With direction you need to move more smoothly, so with the “slowing down” method pulled by Saturn, you can give the direction that the Mars sometimes need. In conclusion, Saturn is a friend to Mars. However, couldn’t this turn itself to a disadvantage itself? My guess is that it could. Cause in certain situations, perhaps more often than we think, the Saturn “slowing down” approach could actually inhibit the Mars’ high power and make it more powerless, when it already has a very good strength that it gets taken advantage of. This could make Mars feel prisoned, solely because it needs to “conform” to the temper of the overall circumstances.

I do not think there is a certain answer to if Saturn is a friend to Mars or not, because what I do think is that in certain situations Mars need Saturn more than others, and it is a definitely inner battle for a Mars energy to handle. What I do think is again the dull answer, depends on when, and the most important factor to consider is to be able to evaluate when Saturn is helping Mars or not. I think this could be determined by another planet’s energy (at this moment I don’t know which one) and it could even matter in what sign and perhaps even house it rules. I wouldn’t be surprised if the aspect matters too, since the challenging aspect and the easy flowing aspect have different significance.

Saturn and Mercury
While Saturn is the planet of boundaries, I would call Mercury the planet of connections. I think they are a good couple, because what Mercury does is to connect dots, and mostly often already existing dots. It is hard to connect new dots because they can be very confusing in the beginning – they are simply new stimuli with an unknown story. You simply don’t know what to do with them yet since you have to learn to know them first. Therefore, for Mercury to be able to connect its dots, to combine every node with each other, like a large network, you have to have a guardian (Saturn) that is able to decide what is coming in and out through the city. Saturn is like the membrane to the cell.

In some cases, it could be good for Mercury to get new stimuli. Now I think you can go in two different directions in this case, both which I think are good in their own ways. You can choose the conservative way, where there are absolute bounds to this “city”. It is like reading the same book over and over again. It could seem to be tiring, and even it would, but it is also very good for being able to find something new, that you haven’t seen before, each and every time, so that you connect the dots in a more and more complex manner while the time goes on. You can also take the more progressive way. Instead of reading the same book over and over again, perhaps get a new book so you can get a new perspective. This perspective could even be added on to the already existing connections and be able to integrate. What I do think you need for this elaboration is the power of the planet Jupiter. Jupiter is the “moving forward” planet that helps when you get too rigid and need to get something new. With a constructive match with these three planets, I think you can get a successful city.

Ok, I have read the rules about spamming once again. Since I cannot find that I am breaking the rules if I make my posts after each other during different time frames and with different messages each time, I am going to start to make new posts instead of updating the first post over and over again. I take this decision since if I just update the first post over and over again, it will be very very long, and I want to avoid that.

Here is a quotation from the rules according to spamming:

"Spamming
Spamming is not permitted. Spamming is the act of posting the same message multiple times or posting in quick succession within a limited time frame. *Please note that spamming is not having a conversation with several people within a thread. It is important to keep in mind to only make three posts in a row and then wait ten minutes to post again. Some examples of spamming may be but are not limited to:

Bumping old threads - A good rule of thumb is to not bump any thread more than a week old. Threads older than this, if bumped, will be closed. *Note that if the creator of the thread bumps up a thread, it will not be closed.

Spreading chain letters

Creating multiple threads or shouts about the same topic - one example being, making multiple threads begging for popdollars or credits.

Text with no meaning - creating threads or messages that contain one random letter or a multitude of random ones (ex: asdfsadf). Posts like these provide no content and are just spam.

If found to be spamming, the individual will first receive a verbal warning. Depending on the severity of what has been spammed, one may receive an official warning."

I highlighted in red what I think is important according to my situation and have concluded that I do not in fact break the rules. Also, you could possibly judge my action as "bumping" but I disagree since bumping for me is when you simply type "bump" or something similar just to make the topic active, which is not my intention, and I at the same time write something substantial. However, if a moderator disagrees, you are free to explain to me how.

Ok, let's get back to astrology.

#Insight about learning astrology
I have come up with an effective way in how you learn astrology and have put it into words. I can agree on that the combinations with planets, signs (especially those two), houses and aspects are the most important thing about learning astrology. Then there are certain techniques which are also good to know, but especially these things. From my limited experience so far, if we now solely focus on planets and signs, if you are an amateour or beginner in astrology and what to learn the different combinations, it can surely be devastating to know where to start. There are actually 144 different combinations, which is a lot (I am including the outer planets and the nodes as well, so we have 12 planets with 12 signs, that becomes 144 different ways), so how do you start? Well, first I would like to exclude the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) because they are not so important in personal chart readings. I would also exclude the nodes to make things easier, even tho they do have an impact. So we are left with 7 planets. Now, I would like to give som recommendations on where to start:

- Make sure you know all the rulerships, perhaps even all (or most) debilitations.
- Have a good grasp most (if not all if you want to) the exaltations
- It could be good to have some good picture of the detriments too

After that you know the most important or "easy to get" placements. So after that you can do this:

- Try to learn a handful of combinations at the beginning, like maybe around 10 different combinations. I do recommend to choose those type of combinations that can feel a little bit mismatching or where the planet and the sign doesn't feel that similar. For example: Venus in Capricorn, Moon in Gemini or Mars in Cancer to name a few. When you pick some combination that feels more "similar" like for example Venus in Cancer (both are very soft in its appearance), well it is of course not wrong to do this, but when you prioritise this way (remember you are currently only learning a handful) you don't fulle expand your own percpetual horizon to its fullest. So that is my recommendation.
-After that, it is good to try with different charts from friends or maybe something that you find online and just try to minimally interpret that chart from the tiny knowledge you so far have. It doesnt need to make sense, but what is important is that you start to actually put some combinations in your memory and it becomes with time easier to get a "feel" of the different planets with different signs and you can start to compare in your own head and so on. What happens is that you slowly start to build up your own "inner network".

Sorry, for late reply, I must tell that I thought a LOT about your chart. It was pretty complicated for me actually, but sooner or later, I have to take a step and start to write down my observations.

I actually get a very eccentric feeling about your chart. Someone that somehow stands out from the crowd. Let me explain why with different examples:
- Your aquarius is in your midheaven. So this should be the signature you probably should show off in public, at least in career/vocation.
- Uranus is the planet closest to the midheaven.
- Your saturn is in the 11th house. 11th house is rules by aquarius and saturn itself, and this placement makes someone less "blending in" among people and more "go by themself"
- And most interestingly, you have THREE (!!!) out-of-bounds planets. Your Mercury (maybe this one doesnt affect that much since it is combusted), Venus and Mars are all out-of-bounds. Out-of-bounds means that these planets gain more Uranian qualities, and it means that you are a really special and unique person in these areas. So this I found pretty cool actually.

Now, I want to focus on your moon in taurus. This is the favourite placement for moon usually, so that is good, but I can see that this sign is intercepted, which means that the energies are locked somehow. It could also be interpreted as "hidden potential". Now what does moon in taurus usually mean? It gives a certain charm and magnetism that it usually attracts the good in life. At the same time this placement is in 12th house, which could actually mean that the charming, cheerful type is very much on the surface, but inside it could hide somebody else that is not really seen by the public. I find this placement to be kind of fragmented as a whole, since first we have moon exalted in taurus, then at the same time it is intercepted and also in the 12th house. It gives me mixed feelings about "experiencing the good in life", especially the more superficial stuff.

If you want tip on how to unlock the potential of the intercepted sign, you can shout out to me again. I cannot fully write it down right now since I have to do some research on it first, and I don't have that much time to do it right now.

However.

Then I want to talk about your interesting venus/mars conjunction in capricorn. This is a really good placement. Mars is exalted here, making its typically aggressive, action-oriented energy more constructive and efficient. Think of it like a very energetic and good businessperson. Venus here is good too. It gives from what I understand a prosocial attitude in business. You work for the good reasons to the public, like bringing people together. Now it somehow becomes even more interesting when they are conjunct, because this I think is usually called "the sexual instinct". So when their energies blend together in Capricorn, I am not 100 % sure about this, but it could be some kind of inner animalistic drive in the status/business area, something like that. When it is in the 8th house, this becomes even more prominent, since 8th house is the house of sex, especially in terms of emotional sexuality. So probabliy some kind of animalistic magnetism. And of course, they are out-of-bounds, which makes it even more fun, because it makes it off-the-charts, to say the least. This is a very crazy placement to have, I must admit. XD

Hope you enjoyed my interpretation. I think this was superfun for me to do at least ;D

Ok, I after a long time and I havent been active on VP for a long time. But surely very interesting stuff have happened.

My intuition have started becoming stronger for the last couple of days, and I start to understand astrology now. It is almost that I can feel the energy sometimes when I read a description of a planet or placement, aspect or whatever and "pinpoint" it in real life circumstances. Very interesting.

What can I tell.
I am just willing to write my astrological mind off since I have been hugely into astrology for the last couple of weeks. My interest goes in waves, and now is a peak.

I want to talk about Lilith for this time. I have my Lilith in the 11th house. It makes me to some kind of scapegoat, others are projecting the collective faults on people like me, bullying me, laughing at people like me, pointing at me, seeing me as too weird, too this and that, when in fact I did almost nothing wrong in comparison with the other people that break much more moral rules than I did. But I happen to be at the lowest of the rank, so yeah, it is easy to point at the black sheep instead.

Scapegoating is a form of sacrifice. People are sacrifising something that is to blam so that their inner problems can "dissapear". I represent the archetype that was burned, stoned, thrown into the water, raped,  ridiculed, left out of the group in previous lifetimes. So yeah, I have some kind of issue with groups of people in general.

I also have an issue with 12th house Lilith's. Because they represent the collective, and by that also groups. They can get turn of by people in terms of chemistry just by recognising their presence. And if you like me happen to be the odd bird like the 11th house lilith individual that I am, sure some of them are going to be turned off by me. And that hurts a lot. I don't think I deserve that. A couple of my closest friends happen to be 12th house liliths, so in a sense it hurts a little more, because they still happen to be in -my- group. So yeah. That's it for today.

This week, from 10th june and forward, besides the famous solar eclipse which happened in my 8th house, in fact in conjunction with my sun, the north node was exact conjunct to my mars. So the solar eclipse have given me, what I suggest a transformation to my mars-qualities, which I have recognised in my personal life, my motivation, my assertion and my willpower. I have noticed twice after crying that my solar plexus got activated and I have cried several times because of past traumas, and suddenly I notice I have more willpower TO DO STUFF. Incredible! This has never happened in my life before!
