I wrote a post about this, telling how I felt about being a very un-fashionable person. I struggle really hard to follow trends and dress nicely
I wish I could wear whatever I wanted without feeling like a lesser person because I can't do a middle part and wide jeans, but when I get on the bus and is the only one wearing tight jeans and a side-part hairstyle I just can't help feel like everybody's looking at me and judging me
It sound like an easy solution, just don't give a shit, and in reality yeah it should be that easy, but for me its definitely not
I think its something that is so stuck in my core, I have this un-realistic need of validation and acceptance from everybody around me, and often clothes and style play a big part of that
I wish I was that girl that didn't give a shit
But I am
And I guess that's why people dress trendy, cause a lot of people feel the same way I do
Not everybody of course, some people are truly into this whole 90-2000's vibe of clothing, and it's a super cute style, I truly wish I could put on those clothes and look good, but I don't
I just need to accept that I won't look good in these trendy items and hold onto my "style", if I could call it that
