lmao you can do pistol shooting as hobby in finland legally, it's not that hard. of course there's still laws and not anyone can have access to have gun at home. but it's not "pretty much impossible"Ā

You can get one when you have record of practices for like 2 years and if you compete too, so have record of that also. Then you have psychological test and after that you can have a permit for a gun in Finland. I really need to get permits, so I can inherit my dad's collection. I was shooting before I even went to elementary, haha.
But for me it's now mainly air pistol, since those you can get more easily and shooting inside that is the easiest to deal with. But my dad has a lot of different guns and his friends too, so I have had the opportunity to try a lot.

I always found it extremely hard to write with someone, so that's awesome. I hope you keep up with the tinkering too. Also can you give me some of that research interest, cause damn all the forced things I need to read are exhausting me. D:
ohhhh i see, is ur dad a hunter of some kind? can't imagine many other peeps can get their hands on a "collection" of guns otherwise haha. i've never seen a genuine, still in use gun live, and i also don't know of anyone who has a permit - tho i'd imagine it's more common up northĀ Ā i live on the southern coastline myself haha. i think guns look cool but i'd never have the guts to own one bc i would never use it so also kinda pointless

Nope, he doesn't hunt, but some of his friends does. Also we live south too.Ā 
But he has had this hobby since his father introduced guns to him and now he competes and all.Ā 
I wouldn't know a lot of gun people either if my dad didn't show me everything and brought me to different places since I was a kiddo. So guns and shooting are really important to me, since it's a hobby for both of us. I also do understand the aspect of guns looking cool, but they definitely aren't toys and should be taken very seriously. Great hobby, but also very dangerous.Ā
