It should come this summer, so not far from now i could imagine. I think it's funny personally, challenging in a way, it's better with expansions tho and I'm hoping for more game modes or similar in splatoon 3!

Few months till summer, perfect! I think I bought ok amount with games now so i'll wait. Seems exciting, but i'll be honest I know so little about the game only seen few trailers a long time ago and more art stuff tbh. How would you describe the game? what modes and expansions is there btw

Well in splatoon 2, there is the main gamemodes, which include the regular, where you just battle to get most turf in your color, then there is ranked, where you fight with people your rank, in different modes. there are modes like rainmaker, where you need to get the rainmaker back to your place, without getting splashed. there is a mode where your team need to claim and area and keep the other team from taking over. There is also a mode where it's about throwing the most clams in your goals. besides there is a leauge, which im not sure is regular or ranked battle leauge. the other gamemode is the grotto, where you with a team, have to finish 3 rounds of battling monsters and you get rewards like powerups and gear. 
The expansion on the other hand is basically a train you will be on and you need to clear a bunch "maps" to in the end fight a boss. That too gives you gear as a reward. 
Oh yea there is another gamemode too, but i haven't played it enough to be able to explain it, it's confusing.
