I remember, the first half year after we switched to discord we kept being really confused when there was silence - and I mean true silence - when being in a call. in skype that meant you somehow got disconnected, in discord it just means no one is talking right now

I even got my parents to switch to discord, though most of my dad's friends don't like it because they much prefer skype since they have an inherent trust in microsoft and think everything else must be bad by default, even though even he agrees discord is eons better
