rational thinking feels very counter to just getting to feel ur emotions a lot of the time, like to me it goes very hand in hand with like, knowing that something someone else has done to upset you isnt something they did on purpose/had any control over, like when that happens i just. think myself out of being allowed to be upset over it? which is silly but it is what it is

like when i know why and how i feel a certain way its a lot like. ok its done with. problem solved. no need to feel the feeling anymore, The Feeling Has Been Solved. instant hack for long term repression

there's layers to it. every situation makes you feel 3000 things at once and having to dissect that takes time

like I generally know what my biggest feeling is and such, but the layers and the feelings up until the big feeling and how to cope with it afterwards is something I do need time to work through to understand it
