I honestly love ampharos and both forms of it. I don't think I have any favorite favorite shiny, though I like what they did with Shinx. Maybe Ninetales though? But I also own a white dog that looks like a fox, so I feel quite warm about it.
If I have to do a non-dogish shiny it would probably be nidoking, but it's only because it's my first shiny and because it shares colours with the normal nidoqueen.

I honestly agree, but I generally like monochrome as a concept for pokemon, so if I was making the shiny colours I would just make them all black, white and gold.
