I write it like 𝒶 because that's what's in all tracing books when you learn to write. Idk how people start writing it like "a". Prob happens in middle school when everyone starts changing the way they write to be different 
maybe yes seems like a habit one might pick up from copying digital fonts

Honestly cursive is slow, but individual letters is slow too, I just join the letters that come natural to me that make sense to join uknow, fastest way for me at least

Yeah it made zero sense in the word that I wrote f instead of t or the other way around. Bad teacher on that certain thing lmao, but I doubt it made a difference on my grade so I didn't care rlly, even tho it was stupid

squiggles gang🤝 taking notes rly does a number on handwriting i feel like, cuz u have to sacrifice neatness for speed n before u know it you have invented a new writing system
