yes, i think it's worth it to get a kindle! i have a paperwhite that i got four years ago and it has served me really well. i have no complaints honestly

i feel like i both read faster and spend more time reading when i read on my kindle as it's just so much easier than holding a physical book. it's also nice that i syncs with the kindle app so if i'm going somewhere and forgot to bring the kindle, i can just pull up the app and it knows where i stopped. if you're not someone who collect physical books, then kindle ebooks are a lot cheaper (at least for me, with the norwegian book pricing). and the kindle unlimited selection is quite nice if you choose to get the subscription.

I wish it was fun aaaa it is a lot of stress since idk what to study anymore! too much choice, again! A
glad that you're good ! ooooo wishing that you'd survive the tough time and that it will soon pass! <3
oh, i understand! choosing what to study is one of the most stressful decisions in life tbh. i hope that you get some revelation/clairty soon <3 thank you, i hope so too. it's a lot rn actually, i'm thinking about changing carers if something doesn't change. there has been so much in the newpaper from parents and teachers but the politicians apparently doesn't care? or does not do anything about it. like, last semester i was the only teacher for 19 kids, year 3-5 (i worked with 2 other, but i was resposible for all the edcuation). ugh ;_;
yeah I just have too much choices, and I ain't even sure I'll be able to do it (again.... WAA)
but we'll see

oh man, that sounds like a really uhhh
weird and concerning situation, feels really unstable and volatile, I'd be uncomfortable with it
also a LOT of work, big sad (((
you'll figure it out! i'm sure <3

@Disposable I have one myself and it never loads, refreshing takes like 5 minutes, and you can't even read right.

yes i love my kindle, i read much more with it!
i have fibromyalgia that affects my hands and arms a lot, so being able to actually read a 800+ pages book without holding a heavy brick of a book is great for me!!!

i still love physical books ofc, so i buy hardcovers of the books i want to display in my bookshelf, and kindle for the rest hehe
oh, that's so good that you've found an alternative! and i agree, sometime (mostly at night) the book feels so so heavy to hold.

agreed! i will still read physical books. but it would be nice to save some money and space in my bookshelf.

yes i've heard many that have said the same thing, that they read more, and that's what i want to acheive.

i'm also thinking about getting a kobo, but that one doesn't have kindle unlimited but i can loan e-books from my local library to put on it (which i've heard is difficult on kindle, but i can be wrong). can i access kindle unlimited in sweden? @atencia

i don't have a kobo myself so take this with a grain of salt, but as far as i've heard kobo does have some form of equivalent to KU, but i don't think the selection is the same. yeah, getting library ebooks on kindle is a little tricky, but it should be possible for some formats. i haven't tried it myself tho, as my library doesn't have a wide range of english ebooks.

KU technically isn't available in norway, but it still works perfectly fine for me. though with that being said i got my kindle while i lived in the UK, so i created my amazon account with a UK address. i have since changed my default address to my norwegian one and it doesn't seem to be an issue. my bank details were always norwegian without any issues. i didn't even know KU wasn't available in norway until a member of my book club pointed it out when i told them i used KU a lot 🤷🏼‍♀️ for audible i experience regional restrictions, even tho it's connected to the same amazon account

an e-reader isn't a smartphone, so yes it takes a couple seconds to load when you try to scroll through your library or open a new book. but once a book is opened, switching pages takes no more than a second for me, like it's not distracting at all when reading. i also find it more seamless to wake the kindle up by using one of those flap covers so that the kindle wakes up by opening the cover, rather than using the button. but it's still only 5 seconds to wake it up with the button, if even that
