So i just saw a post about blood sausage/blodkorv/blodpølse and it kinda had me thinking about my towns signature dish, a small town far up in northern Sweden called Piteå
So we eat this thing called palt. Its made out of flour and potatoes, stuffed with pork(or flat with pork on the side) eaten with butter and lingonberries (or syrup or any other optional side dish, although lingonberry jam is the most common one) and of course, with a BIG glass of milk

I know of some Finnish people and southern Swedish people who has tried it, i wanted to see if anyone here on VP knows what it is??

honestly, its like the best thing in the world

yeah!
i mean kroppkakor is alright, not as good though in my opinion

i have family in Stockholm and whenever we used to visit them when i was younger, they always made us bring homemade palt since ''they had been eating kroppkakor all year and wanted the real deal'' haha

I kinda prefer kroppkakor, but I love this too. It's not that much difference tbh XD

I once ate 5 big ones, when I was 11. My northern relatives were proud hahahaha

have u ever tried gnocchi?? its pretty similar to that, except the texture is a bit rougher and u eat it with pork and the butter is mostly firm instead of melted, but some people eat palt with melted butter too so
