I don’t remember the ending precisely if it was bitter sweet or just sad but defo not happy, n just a good book in general

Don't have anything heart shattering, but I really enjoyed Notes on Grief, which is a short read. It's not really that sad to read, but if you've lost someone you'll relate to the book.

How High We Go in the Dark also has some heart shattering moments, especially the first few chapters gutted my soul and I was actively crying while on work because I listened to it as an audiobook.

^ and if you're thinking, oh no this book is too long, then read chapter 23 and to the end (around the last 100 pages).
