wtf kind of eye colour is hazel?

 my eyes are the second colour (green-ish blue) so just wondering if that's actually classed as hazel or not. Surely hazel comes from hazelnut, which would suggest brown?

true, my eyes r probably slightly more blue than the ones in the pic idek.

whenever i ask ppl what they think my eyecolour is, half says blue, half says green and like a couple say grey so idek
