I totally can see how a shampoo bar takes longer to use, but damn, people really go through a bottle of shampoo in a month? like, seriously, back when we used bottled shampoo, we had a bottle per month for 3 people using that bottle... also, my brother was showering quite frequently even becaue he's a volunteer firefighter and that sometimes unfortunately means two to three showers a day, depending what happened

i so wanted to be in on the shampoo bars but it was just an all over terrible experience for me. and my scalp is still paying off from it i think, its been very dry ever since. but im comforting myself with the fact that i only wash my hair like once a week so i dont waste a plastic bottle per month : /

oh and btw, the nice smell vs chemicals point really is the dumbest most biased thing in this post (IG)
first of all, there's chemicals in shampoo bars just as much as in the liquid ones - just as you can find one with less "bad" chemiclas for both as well
same goes for smell, like, honestly, you can get nearly every kind of smell both for bars and bottles
I get the point the post is trying to make, but posts like these are so not helpful imo, because they just show, that although the idea behind it might be right, people are just dumb and/or uninformed and seriously, that's just as harmfull as people just being like "I don't care about how much waste I produce"
