Can you be 'too old' for certain websites?

I wanted to try an app but I was almost booted of immediately due to my age. Apparently there was an age limit that I wasn't aware of. You'd think they would be interested in brining in as many people as possible into the game but apparently not.

i mean when i was 19 a 16 y/o attempted to get involved with me and i was like sorry i can't it's too much it's.. no i can't even the thought of it repulses me

i met my best friend on gsm when i was 12 and she was 19 lmao 
but i think that’s pretty rare
also i think i lied about my age at some point...
