i did cave in and i did get myself 4 dounnuts that im going to binge on but i already ate really unhealthy today so i don't care. im starting fresh tomorrow n i have healthy meals planned so it's ok!
one of my biggest tips on how to avoid binges is to try to keep yourself away from that mindset. If ur already eaten too much/too unhealthy in that same day, dont just go ”ah fuck it” and binge even more. Try to think about in this way instead: u started of the day with a minor setback, it happens and its okay to indulge every now and then, so lets stop at that and continue the rest of the day eating healthily and according to plan so that this day doesnt set me back even further from my goal. The day isnt over yet and i shouldnt consider this whole day already ruined just bc it didnt start off according to plan. i can eat those donuts another day where ive stuck to my plan instead.
ugh ur totally right! but to defend myself a little,
i dont usually binge a lot so when i do "i allow myself" to even if its bad. but i will defintivly keep this in mind. its true that just bec i messed up, for a day that doesnt give me an excuse to mess it up any more even more just bec "i already failed the day" ur right that its not a good mindset at all
thats good to hear! I think its also healthy to let loose and allow urself cheat days every now and then, being TOO strict with a diet just causes u to binge even more and then u get kinda stuck in this whole binge cycle that is hard to get out of (believe me ive been there lol). Its all about balance and moderation really
