Sad at night

I always get super depressed at the evening - night and everything is just so overwhelming and hopeless and its honestly so exhausting.

I wonder if its the same for someone else and if you have some helpful tips?

I often get depressed over a long period of time, but now im doing fine in the day but everything just crashes in the evening and I don't know what to do with it

Ahh im sad that you have it like that to, I know how exhausting that is <3 Thank you so much!! I´ve heard it can be like that bc we are so distracted in the day and in the evening we don't distract so much

Same for me. I usually just tell myself that I feel this way because I'm tired and sometimes write the things that bother me down. Tomorrow I'll have more energy to solve them or maybe they won't even bother me then anymore. Either way, the task is not for today anymore.

Other than, I usually watch funny Youtube videos

Put on more lights. Don't sit in the dark.
Put on cheerful music or a funny movie or video.
Keep company. Call or messenger if you can't have people there. Or a pet. Sitting alone will give you more time to think and it easily turns negative.
Do something you like.
Journal out your thought or put them into art.
Sit with the feelings too (if they are managable). It's okay to feel shitty and sad but its not useful to ruminate on it for too long if you dont have to so do something. So if you notice u r getting into darker thought, shake it up by moving, dancing, singing it out or something. At a point you may find It's better to just go to bed a bit early instead of sitting up with it longer. (Just moving to brush your teeth etc. may help a tiny bit.)
