does this sound ok? like not too pushy, but pushy enough? and polite enough because my landlord is like 70.
I'm writing to let you know that some of the paper has fallen off the ceiling this evening (please see attached). The flat has needed decorating since the boiler leak, however I have been shielding and didn't want to let any decorators in. But I'm due to start back at work in one of my pubs on the 1st, so if you're able to decorate then that would be great!
I'm going to have a chat with my boss and see how many hours they can guarantee me at the pub which is reopening - it looks like the other pub might be shut for a little while longer. In this case, I might be able to start paying full rent again, with a review to pay back what I owe once the other pub reopens, but I'll keep you updated.
Another couple of quick, little things; the curtains in the living room have hung off from the rails since I moved in so they don't shut properly - I tried to replace the hooks on the curtains, but it appears that the hooks on the rails themselves have snapped. I thought if the decorators were going to be coming in, maybe those could be replaced now?
The fridge is sometimes overheating on the top left, but inside the temperature isn't consistent. At the back stuff is freezing, but stuff at the front isn't staying as cold as it should, so it's a bit tricky trying to make sure my food isn't getting spoilt. I thought I'd let you know in case it breaks sometime soon.
Also, the ballcock on the toilet needs adjusting - it seems to flush water through for ages. I would try and fix this myself but I'm not sure what I'm doing and I don't want to mess anything up.
Hope this ok and that you have been keeping well.
Many thanks.
