Dumb Laws

What do you think is a dumb law?

I saw on the news today that in England they plan to BAN buy one get one free deals on unhealthy food, 'to fight obesity' because 'covid has been a wake up call' ... right ... it's two for one deals causing the spread and not the reopening of pubs ... also it seems a bit classist to me. What about those families that RELY on meal deals like this to feed their families? Or, me as a student, I would get 2 for 1 dominos with my boyfriend and friends because while we are struggling students we deserve a treat every now and then. I'm kinda angry about this ngl.

i dont think law should play into peoples dietary decisions though,, idk it seems excessive, and if someone really wants two pizzas and can afford it they will get it anyway

its bcs scientists realised covid is more seriously/deadly to people who r overweight
but yea the first step should be proper health education regarding food and lowered prices of fresh produce

reminds me of the sukkeravgift we have in norway that is meant to fight obesity but just makes people travel to sweden to buy candy instead, which makes us just loose capital

yeah i feel like they need to promote health education because it doesnt matter how expensive they make unhealthy food (which, lets be honest, its mostly inexpensive anyway so idk what they expected?) people will still have chicken nuggets over veggies cus they grew up hating veg. i know people who are 20, skinny as hell, but their entire diet is mcdonalds chips and chicken nuggets and such. things u serve children lol..

idk am i wrong for thinking the government shouldn't decide if its people can eat certain things like that ... if someone eats just unhealthy then its them that gets overweight. this is gunna effect poorer people
