yea but is it any more justified judging english speakers than it is to judge non native english speakers for speaking badly english
Tbh I'm more upset when people don't speak English properly. It's the global language that everyone should know, I've been taking English classes since I was 6 and I've been also having English classes in school, and I speak English better than some native speakers, it's insane
i speak english fluently. was always at the top of my class in both speaking and spelling. but just because it’s the global language doesn’t mean i expect
anyone to be great at it. i know a lot of people can’t let go of their accents and keep mixing up words but that’s cause it’s a whole different language a lot of people don’t use that much. and my little sister is bad at her own native language. some people just suck at spelling and dont know what words to use when and it doesnt matter what language it is. native english speakers have just as much right to be bad at their own language as anyone else is
i feel like english being the global language is colonialism propaganda, if countries are wealthy and have their own industry and shit they dont really need to learn english
